Gatlinburg, TN
This was one of those days that felt like a full experience from the very beginning.
I started the morning going down seven zip lines, which honestly set the tone in the best way, before heading straight to a quiet mountainside Airbnb tucked into the trees in Gatlinburg. The kind of place that already feels like a world of its own before anything even begins.
The pace of the day was slow and easy in the best sense. No rush, no pressure, just time moving gently as Sammy and Emma got ready together surrounded by mountain air and stillness.
Their ceremony took place on the balcony overlooking the landscape, and it was one of the most heartfelt setups I have seen. They built the arch themselves, and it genuinely looked like something created by a professional design team. It was simple, intentional, and absolutely stunning in person.
Their private vows were the kind that make you pause. Quiet, emotional, and completely present. The kind of moment where nothing else exists outside of it.
Later in the evening, we even saw a mama bear and her cubs moving through the area, which added this surreal, grounding reminder of where we were in the world.
To end the night, we went over to Goats on the Roof mountain coaster park. I photographed them getting their tickets, riding up, and then going down the coaster, fully in their element and just having fun together. I even convinced the ticket attendant to let me step behind the gate for a quick POV shot through the ticket window, which felt very on brand for the day as a whole.
It was intimate, adventurous, and completely true to who they are.
